A good sandy beach, even at high tide with a large area of sand. The waters are shallow for some considerable distance allowing them to warm up on a sunny day. As you get to the far north of the beach towards Pilling Sands Beach there are salt marsh areas but Preesall Sands is so extensive you will have plenty to of sand to enjoy.
